Dua Lipa revealed her ultimate girl crush, and it’s none other than the Barbie star Margot Robbie. Lipa and Robbie worked together in Greta Gerwig’s 2023 film, where the 28-year-old singer played the Mermaid Barbie.

Both the singer and actress appeared last night on Variety’s Power of Women dinner, confirming Barbie’s era is finally over. At the event, Robbie’s husband revealed her secret girl crush, but Lipa had already revealed her “ultimate girl crush” on Robbie long before it came to light.

Capital FM gave young listeners a chance to ask questions to Dua Lipa. That’s when a little kid named Ellen asked, “Who you are more excited to meet, Ryan Gosling or Margot Robbie?”
Choosing one from both stars was difficult for Lipa as it was so visible from her voice. The singer took a long pause but finally revealed who she was absolutely buzzing to meet on set.
And yes, as expected, it was none other than the Barbie actress Margot Robbie. Lipa went on to say that Robbie is just her “ultimate girl crush,” so it would have been her.
Lipa also revealed that it was the very first time they’d met. But it didn’t last till there, both the celebrities saw themselves a couple of times afterward too.
Interestingly, Lipa’s revelation is not one-sided. Even Robbie also revealed that she, too, has a secret crush on the Albanian singer.

On Thursday, Dua Lipa presented the Power of Women Producer of the Year to LuckyChap Entertainment (founded by Margot Robbie, her husband Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara and Sophia Kerr).
The production company is the mind behind the films and TV series that celebrated women’s stories like Barbie, Promising Young Woman, and Maid. Lastly, after thanking her fellow honorees, the New Rules singer called Robbie, McNamara, and Ackerley on stage.
McNamara and Ackerley revealed that they would be speaking for their producing partner Robbie, who lost her voice four days ago. The actor and producer then shared her speech, where they revealed that she has a crush on Dua Lipa.
“We know that so I vow here and now, in front of all these people and Dua Lipa (who I have a secret crush on), to not leave all the speeches to Margot for now on,” Ackerley said (on behalf of her wife) at the Variety‘s Power of Women dinner, presented by Lifetime.
