Megan Fox a ‘grump’ according to anonymous ‘Transformers’ crew members

Megan Fox has grabbed her share of headlines with statements that seem nuttier than a squirrel’s cheeks in October, but her recent comments that Michael Bay “wants to be like Hitler on his sets” seemed to push the limits of good taste, even for her. Over the weekend, three crew members from the Transformers franchise ran a letter on Michael Bay’s website fighting back. (The letter has since been removed, but it’s cached, so… not really removed.)

The anonymous letter — “we can’t give our names because sadly doing so in Hollywood could lead to being banished from future Paramount work” — wastes no time calling Fox “dumb as a rock,” saying that she “never smiles,” is “the grump of the set,” “is the queen of talking trailer trash and posing like a porn star,” her acting is “cringe-able,” she “has a paragraph tattooed to her backside (probably due her rotten childhood),” and “is as about ungracious a person as you can ever fathom.” It wraps up with this anecdote: “On our first day in Egypt, the Egyptian government wouldn’t let us shoot because of a permit problem as the actors got ready in make up at the Four Seasons Hotel. Michael tried to make the best of it; he wanted to take the cast and crew on a private tour of the famous Giza pyramids. God hold us witness, Megan said, ‘I can’t believe Michael is f—ing forcing us to go to the f—ing pyramids!’ I guess this is the ‘Hitler guy’ she is referring to.”

Yeesh. Bay responded with a letter of his own, saying “I don’t condone the crew letter to Megan. And I don’t condone Megan’s outlandish quotes. But her crazy quips are part of her crazy charm. The fact of the matter I still love working with her, and I know we still get along. I even expect more crazy quotes from her on Transformers 3.” I officially declare this statement Michael Bay’s finest work.

Fox was on the Today show this morning talking about how she’s insecure, promoting Jennifer’s Body, and talking about hosting SNL this weekend. NBC said they “never comment on upcoming show content,” but some are saying that this non-feud may make its way into a sketch on Saturday, which wouldn’t be that surprising — Fox would look like a good sport, making fun of herself, and it’s the only way to make a Transformers joke seem current.

PopWatchers, I’m gonna call this a draw: Calling people “Hitler” isn’t a great idea, but neither is talking crap on the Internet about a coworker you don’t like. Where do you fall on the Fox vs. Crew vs. Bay free for all?
