Fox explained that her pal Brittney Boyce set up the GoFundMe to support her father who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He was diagnosed earlier in July and his family wanted to raise money to pay for his medical bills. Megan posted the link and was soon met with backlash from the request – saying that she should donate the money herself since she's worth millions of dollars.
The model immediately stood up for herself revealing that Brittney was uncomfortable with her celebrity clients donating large sums of money due to their work relationship. Since her friend didn't want her to donate, Megan instead posted the GoFundMe page so her followers could donate small amounts to help the family reach their goal.
