Speaking with Mirror UK, Helena Bonham Carter reflected upon her past relationships and shared her words of wisdom with her young fans. Discussing how she asks her handwriting expert, her family, and the nannies to assess potential boyfriends for her based on their writing skills, Carter recalled her romantic relationships.

Being in a relationship with actor Kenneth Branagh in 1994, and romantically associating with Tim Burton from 2001 to 2014, Helena Bonham Carter defended her eccentric image during the interview. Being totally in love with herself, the actress shared an important message with teenage girls.

“It is important to not give a f**k about these things. You cannot afford to put your self-esteem in the hands of strangers, which is what so many teenagers are doing with Instagram.”
