Global pop phenomenon Dua Lipa has been turning out look after look throughout her relentless tour schedule. From the five dazzling ensembles she donned at the Glastonbury Festival to the custom Gucci set she sported at the Rock Werchter Festival, we can’t get enough of her unique style.
Lipa’s tour wardrobe has always been fabulous. Her Future Nostalgia tour looks, featuring Balenciaga and Mugler catsuits, helped her style become as prominent as her music. But on the Radical Optimism tour, the “Houdini” singer went in a different direction, choosing edgier, bolder pieces: sequins, studs, and the shortest of shorts abound.
Jahleel Weaver is the pop star’s new stylist. The duo worked together to craft Lipa’s finery for the Glastonbury Festival, putting together five spectacular outfits for one glorious night.
The first look, Weaver revealed, “was made by Jesse Jo Stark of Chrome Hearts. [Weaver] really wanted it to be a portrayal of who Dua is and where she’s at to set the overall attitude of the show: young, strong, cool, sexy.” Weaver paired a leather minidress with bold boots and fishnets, and accessories quickly became the anchor of the wardrobe (see her NOS Alive performance).
The rest of the evening’s attire was equally magnificent, and the final fit of the concert, designed by Loewe, brought the night full circle. Fans couldn’t seem to pick a favorite, voicing their admiration online.
The pop icon continued raising the bar for rockstar glamor at the Rock Werchter Festival in Belgium, wearing a wine-red custom Gucci set and studded boots. The effect was stunning, styled with silver jewelry, a graphic mani, and glowy, grungy makeup. The red tones perfectly enhance Lipa’s cherry-cola waves.
The final sartorial triumph we’ll celebrate here is what Lipa sparkled onstage at the Mad Cool Festival in Madrid. A sheer, bejeweled top, a Michael Schmidt Studios belt slung over glittering hot pants, and Gianvito Rossi boots helped make the performance unforgettable.
With several tour dates still on the horizon, including two sold-out performances at Wembley Stadium, we can’t wait to see what else this brilliant artist and her talented stylist have in store. Fans can appreciate her summer shows playlist here.
