WINNIE THE POOH: Blood and Honey and Megan Fox were the big “winners” at the 2024 Golden Raspberries (or Razzie) Awards, the annual pre-Oscars celebration “dishonoring” the worst of Hollywood each year.
A torture-porn slasher film created solely to capitalize on its characters falling into the public domain, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey took home five Razzies Friday: Worst Picture, Worst Remake, Rip-Off or Sequel, Worst Screen Couple (Pooh and Piglet), and Worst Director and Worst Screenplay to the filmmaker Rhys Frake-Waterfield.
Fox also accomplished what organizers called “a rare Razzie feat” by earning both Worst Actress and Worst Supporting Actress for the movies Johnny & Clyde and Expend4bles, respectively. Going into the evening, Expend4bles had the most Razzie nominations with seven, but only landed two awards, with Sylvester Stallone — one of the Razzie’s most decorated targets, “Awl Time Razzie Cham-Peen,” organizers said — receiving Worst Supporting Actor.
The annual Razzie Redeemer Award, given to a past winner or nominee who actually did something good this past year, was won by Screen Actors Guild president Fran Drescher. A one-time Worst Actress nominee for 1998’s The Beautician and the Beast, Drescher was celebrated “for her brilliant shepherding of the actors’ guild through a prolonged 2023 strike, with a highly successful conclusion,” organizers said.
